We Run DC

Well hello there.
Long time no blog.
My apologies.
What can I say...life these days is a bit hectic.
Right now my kids are asleep. I'm listening to a little Rihanna, knocking out this post and texting with friends.
Exciting Friday night...I know.

So this weekend is the Nike Women's half marathon.
Wow it feels like last week I ran Cherry Blossom.
Today I went to the Expotique.
Last year I wasn't impressed at all.
I was curious to see how they improved this year.

First they had volunteers who offered to take your pics.
This was great especially for those of us who were alone.

I thought this was pretty cool.
You stepped on a mat, it read your bib and then posted these fun little messages.
I'm hoping to make history with a new shiny half PR.
We'll see.

 I also signed the wall.
A little run it fast pride.

After the expo I grabbed Starbucks and headed to the Nike store.
Of course I had to find my name on the infamous wall.
Thank you kind stranger for snapping this pic

I couldn't resist buying a t-shirt and a pullover at the Nike store.
I'm sure they will be 50% off next week. Ha

Honestly, I don't have any expectations this week.
I haven't ran since last week.
Maybe the stars will align and I will have an awesome run.
Maybe not.
I do know that I will enjoy every moment.

Who all is racing this weekend?

  6. I am curious to see how they changed the race this year. I'm glad the expoique was better, that was a reason I didn't do it again.
