Yesterday started off great. The hubs stayed home to work on his midterm and I was able to workout sans kids.
I spent 70 minutes working my legs and boy did I work them.
Beast Mode!
Check out those legs, haha.
After my sweatfest, I decided to knock out my run. Did I mention how much I love it when my husband is home?!
3 miles at half-marathon pace was on the schedule but I only did 2. It was windy and cold but I gave it my all and felt great.
We decided to go to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things before Snowquester 2013 started. Actually, it seems as though Wal-Mart always has the items I really need. Did I mention how much I hate going to Wal-Mart!?
Anyway, as I was walking to the car, I stepped wrong and rolled my ankle. I felt it pop and fell to the ground, skinning my other knee. I laid on the ground crying. I didn't know if I could get up and walk. The hubs helped me up and I hobbled to the car. One of the first thoughts I had was "thank goodness it's not broken" and "good thing I did my workout earlier".
My ankle hurts so bad. This is how i spent last night....
Today will be a forced rest day. I still plan on doing my regular household stuff but I will refrain from any exercise.
Of course this would happen 11 days before I run the Rock 'n' Roll USA half with Team in Training. I probably won't run again until Saturday. I should run on Thursday but I don't want to push it. I'll have to wait and see how my ankle feels.
I am so close to my goal. I would love to reach it before RnR USA but I need your help. Please visit my fundraising page and make a tax-deductible donation. Together we can save lives!!

Oh no girlie!!
ReplyDeleteThe good news is you are looking strong and hopefully that will help you bounce back FAST!
Oh no girlie :( I"m so sorry! I have rolled my ankle before and it's so hard because they're so easy to roll! I hope you are able to rest up and be out there in time, but just remember to rest up and recover as best you can!
ReplyDeleteHope your ankle gets to feeling better in time for your next run! Loved the pictures you posted of your workout!
ReplyDeleteHope your ankle feels better soon! Great legs :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! What a bummer. Wishing you super speedy healing.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that stuff like this happens at the worst times! You did seem to get a great workout in earlier though. Stay chill and I hope you recover quickly!!
